Grieving mother's brain

We have no water in the house, no bread. I assumed we had things like cheese and peanut butter on our last shopping trip.

But, I knew we needed vanilla extract for baking. Because it kept popping up in my head.

So I bought the vanilla.

When I got home, I put it in the pantry - next to the four other unopened boxes of vanilla extract that I've bought in the last three months.

So, who else stands in the middle of the store, trying to remember what in the heck you were supposed to go there to buy in the first place. Or who stands in front of an open fridge or cabinet? Wondering what you were supposed to be doing, but never remembering?

So true. So true. Love this post because it hits so close to home for me.

I went out for groceries yesterday and bought a bag of rice. I knew I had run out and couldn't for the life of me remember where I had put the last bag I bought. So I grabbed another one. Got home, looked up in the cupboard and there it was. My missing bag of rice. Oh well, at least we don't have to buy any for a while now.

I swear, losing a baby means that "baby brain" never leaves... it just gets worse.

That is so funny! I have been looking for peanut butter all day. No joke. I ended up just having a jelly sandwich for lunch UGH

I'm behind...I'm catching up from being out of town...but today is the first nap for Lil in so long...so my house needs me even as my brain needs to be here online reading and writing....

Yes...this is so true. My brain. I wrote how it was like "mommy brain" on crack on my new blog. I can't believe how hard it is to even write a grocery list...it's honestly weird how fried and not working my brain is. Glad to know it's not just me.
